Bartholomew John Toth

Mr. Bartholmew John Toth, 83, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Oakview Nursing Home in Calvert City.

Mr. Toth was born on October 3, 1940 in Detroit, MI to the late Bartholomew and Ann Buza Toth.  

Mr. Toth dedicated his early years to shaping young minds as a school teacher in Detroit. Later on he joined the police force, embodying a commitment to helping and protecting others.  Relocating to Kentucky, he served as a dedicated police officer with Murray State Police as well as a school resource officer, until his well-deserved retirement.  He found immense joy in coaching and mentoring kids' sports teams.  Bart attended Hardin Baptist until he became ill and was very involved in working with the children of the church. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Dawn Marie Toth Hopkins and sisters, Anne Mauch and Marian Ostrowski.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Betty Toth; sons, Mike Toth (Celeste), Elijah Toth; a daughter, Debbie Daughaday (Brian); niece, Christy; brother in law, Jim Snow.  In addition he leaves behind four grandchildren, Noah, Ben, Kristianna, Brandon.
