Verna Nell Horning

Verna Nell Horning, 92, of Paducah passed away at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
 
Mrs. Horning was a retired Bookkeeper with Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah and a long-time member of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Paducah.
 
She is survived by her son, Bruce (Joisana) Horning of Miama, FL; daughter, Brenda (Wade) Dillworth of Paducah; three grandchildren, Drew (Meghan) Hawkins of Richmond, KY, Evan Dillworth of Paducah, Sophia Horning of Miami, FL; two great-grandchildren, Henry Hawkins, Archie Hawkins.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Horning; parents, James Dick and Hearldie (Carter) Dick; four brothers, J.C. Dick, Irvin Dick, Charles Dick, Jewel Dick; four sisters, Evelyn Wilson, Mable Powley, Mildred Hayes, Rose Lawrence.
 
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Shady Grove, KY.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
