Stephen Matthew O'Dell

Stephen Matthew O’Dell, 55, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in Mayfield, Kentucky. He was a resident of Paducah, Kentucky. He was born on November 28, 1968 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Stephen was a Truck Driver. He enjoyed driving and traveling across the country to different cities in the United States. He also enjoyed working with his brother, Michael, tearing down barns and helping to create new spaces in homes or local restaurants. Stephen never met a stranger. He loved talking and joking around with people he met. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends. He loved his grandchildren and was looking forward to meeting his 5th grandchild.

Stephen is survived by a daughter, Brooke O’Dell and her two sons, Casey & Caseden of Eldorado, IL; a son, Sean & Alex O’Dell and their children, Ruby, Billy Earl and third child due in December of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Kelli & Ted Spitze of Poplar Bluff, MO; Terry & Gary Wright of Doniphan, MO; a sister-in-law, Gayann O’Dell of Marion, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Judy (Smith) O’Dell and a brother, Michael O’Dell.

Stephen requested a private graveside service for family at the Doniphan Oak Ridge Cemetery in Donipan, MO.
