Shirley Ann Fowler

Shirley Ann (Houston) Fowler, 95, of Paducah passed away at 6:15 AM on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Calvert City Nursing & Rehabilitation in Calvert City.
 
Ms. Fowler worked at Uncle Lee’s and Fern Lake Cherry House and she was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah.
 
She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Ann Wood and husband Harold Linn Wood of Paducah, Kimberly Jane Sullivan and husband Bobby Lee Sullivan of Paducah; four grandchildren, Michael Lee (Jennifer) Sullivan, Mark Allen (Ashley) Sullivan, James Stephen (Libby) Wood, David William (Jennifer) Wood; six great grandchildren, Carson Lee Sullivan, Cameron James Sullivan, Noah Walker Sullivan, Finley Cash Sullivan, Madeline Harper Wood, Audrey Rose Wood; several nieces and nephews including Susan (Jim) Brown of Murfreesboro, TN.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Marion Fowler; parents, Bun Eritt Houston and Clara (Wilkins) Houston; stepmother, Anna F. Cone Houston; two brothers, Tosco Houston, Jack Houston; one sister, Martha Jean Adams.
 
Funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Tim Thweatt officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Cemetery in Paducah.
 
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
 
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Meals for Shut in at Woodlawn Church, 3402 Benton Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
 
The family wants to give special thanks to Stilley House in Benton, Calvert City Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center and Mercy Health Lourdes Hospice.
