With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Larry Wilson Wallace on August 24, 2023, and his beloved wife, Linda Sue (Patton) Wallace, on September 1, 2023. The love story of Larry and Linda began on September 18, 1965, when they united in marriage, and their bond remained unbroken for 58 cherished years.
Larry was born on April 18, 1943, in Paducah, KY, to James K. Wallace and Nola V. (Willie) Wallace. He was a proud graduate of Lowes High School. He served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1967. Larry was a Master Craftsman, a notable home builder in Western Kentucky, and a Master Electrician. He was a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, retiring from the Tennessee Valley Authority at the Shawnee Steam Plant.
Linda, born on September 24, 1947, in Marion, KY, to David Wesley Patton and Corinne (Dempsey) Patton, was a graduate of Reidland High School. She was a Kentucky Certified EMT and a devoted homemaker, always putting the needs of her family first.
Larry and Linda were pillars of the Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where they devoted over 50 years of service. Their faith was the cornerstone of their lives and their family.
They leave behind a legacy of love and dedication through their children: Michael Wallace & wife Melissa, Matthew Wallace, and Rachel Jackson and husband Brian. They were proud grandparents to Aaron Wallace & wife Holly, Chase Wallace, Devin Wallace, Gracey Jackson, Brayden Jackson, and Kyler Jackson, and great-grandparents to Andria Wallace, Rohen Wallace, and Tanner Wallace.
The family invites you to a combined memorial service to honor the lives of Larry and Linda on October 21st at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Paducah, Ky. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am.
Larry and Linda’s journey together on earth may have concluded, but their love story continues in eternity. They will be deeply missed, yet their memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
