Bobby Ford Williams

SFC Bobby Williams, 74, of Murray, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his home.

Bobby was born in Murray, KY on November 18, 1950 to the late Vernon and Eula Mae Rose Williams.  He graduated Calloway County High School in 1968 and in October of 1970 he was drafted and served his country in the United States Army for 21 years, specifically the 101st Airborne.  

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kerry Williams and Donnie Williams.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his son, Daniel Williams (Shawnna) of Paris, TN; his daughter, Bobbie Porter (Bob) of Decatur, AL; brothers, Danny Rose Williams (Sandy) of Gilbertsville, KY, Dr. Vernon Mark Williams (Gloria) of TX; sisters, Cindy Dunkle (Sam) of PA, Verna Williams Baker (Kerry) of Murray, Lisa Williams Hendricks (Clayton) of Murray, Cordelia Williams Lawrence of TN; grandchildren, Ema and Zachary Porter; nieces, Stacie Newsome, Shannon Williams, Melanie Cannon, Rachel Williams, Misty McAlpin, Amanda Williams; nephews, Jeremy Williams, Danny Williams, Casey Williams, Joshua Dunkle, Chris Hendricks, Brad Hendricks, Matthew Sholar, along with several great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Bobby Williams is set for 12 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North.  Bro. Sammy Cunningham will officiate and burial with military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.  Pallbearers include Danny Rose Williams, Danny Williams, Hunter Williams, Steve Newsome, Daniel Williams, Ty Williams.

His family welcome visitors from 10 am until 12 pm on Friday at the Heritage Chapel.
