William K. Johnson, 88, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
William was born on October 16, 1935, in Drakesboro, Kentucky, to the late Joe and Audrey Stewart Johnson. He was a laborer who worked out of the Laborers Union Local Hall 1214 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was also a Commercial Fisherman. When not working,William enjoyed hunting and especially fishing in his free time. William was of the Baptist faith.
William is survived by five nieces and nephews; Debbie Diehlman, Anna Mills, James Richard Houston, Richard Johnson, and Joseph Johnson.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Barbara Burkeen Johnson; one son, Jeffery Johnson; three sisters, Lois Houston, Aline Brewer, and Rebekah Johnson; three brothers, Floyd Johnson, Jo Ed Johnson, and Herbert M. Johnson; one niece, Patty Knight and; one nephew, Danny Johnson.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to any charitable cause of your choice in honor of William.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
