Wanda Coursey Lambert, 92, of Calvert City passed away on August 18, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah. 

Wanda was born in Calvert City, Kentucky on July 4, 1930 to the late Elza Ray Smith and Hattie Mae Ferguson Smith. She spent many years working as a sales clerk for Dollar General. Wanda was a woman who was blessed with many talents whether it was sewing, drawing, painting or singing, she could do it all. She was known as a woman who could make something of nothing. One of the things she really loved was writing poetry and even had one of her poems published. She also enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, doing crossword puzzles and playing board games with her family and friends. Wanda was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church where she also sang in the choir.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Coursey of Calvert City; one sister, Sharron Dunigan (Mickey) of Calvert City; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded by her husband, Clarence ‘CJ” Lambert; her first husband, Clint Coursey; one sister, Lucille Smith Lee; four brothers, Joel Smith, Charles Smith, Lonnie Smith, and Donald Smith; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Jewell Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
