Thomas “Tommy” Tucker, 92, of Hardin, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his home.
Tommy was born in Marshall County, Kentucky on March 21, 1932, to the late Kelly Jingles Tucker and Ruby Louann Dawes Tucker. Many people knew Tommy throughout the Marshall County and Calloway County areas as one of the best auto body repairmen around. He spent over 40 years working as an auto body mechanic for Leon Riley Ford in Benton and also spent another eleven years working for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of the Alford-Hardin Masonic Lodge #925 located in Aurora and the Order of the Eastern Star in Murray. Tommy was a very devoted Christian and the longest male member at Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hardin, Kentucky. Tommy had many hobbies that he enjoyed such as camping and fishing. However, one of his biggest passions was ballroom dancing where he competed in very high-level competitions winning many trophies throughout the years.
Thomas is survived by his three daughters, Rhonda Sue Green (Johnny) of Benton, Kentucky, Sandra Faye Rogers (Bill) of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Tammy Valeeta Tucker of Benton; his three sons, Glenn Thomas Tucker (Diane) of Paducah, Kentucky, Timothy Dale Tucker (Debbie) of Benton, and Gordon Lain Tucker (Kristi) of Murray, Kentucky; four sisters, Lena Garland (Kenneth) of Richmond, Virginia, Jarice Sholar of Benton, Helen Smith (James “Smiddy”) also of Benton, and Emma Spann of Gilbertsville; one brother, Jimmie Tucker of Benton; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; his first wife and mother of his children, Violet Gracie Hopkins Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his recent wife, Polly Virginia Ross Tucker; two sisters, Imogene Thompson and Mary Sue Hopkins; two brothers, Robert Cox, and Glenn Tucker; and his parents, Kelly Jingles Tucker and Ruby Louann Dawes Tucker.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Bro. Wayne Hopkins and Bobby Green officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery in Hardin.
