Sandra Landon Johnson, age 79 , of Benton passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2021 at Marshall County Hospital. 

Sandra was born on July 6, 1942 in Benton to the late Edward “Scant” and Francis Maudene Jones Landon. She spent many years working as an office manager for Lovett Johnson & Shapiro Law Office. She and her good friend, Irene Morgan also owned a men’s clothing store in Benton called 12th Street Haberdashery for many years. She was an officer of the Benton Women’s Club and was also a long time member of Benton Church of Christ. 

Sandra was very athletic and enjoyed golfing and tennis winning many awards throughout the years. She was also very artistic and enjoyed spending time painting and drawing. She also had a love for fashion, shopping, and going to market which led her to become a partner alongside her three close friends, Mary Bennett, Barbara Kinsey, and Beverly Solomon in their shop known as “Little Treasures Boutique.” She loved to host, and spent many years hosting the Johnson and Gunn small group meetings. Her and her husband, Marty made it a point to always find time to travel and visit new places like Europe and Hawaii. Sandra was will be remembered as a giver, and a “grandmother extraordinaire” to all of her family. 

Sandra is survived by her husband of 48 years, Marty Johnson; her two daughters, Kelly Jones (Jason) and Kem Cothran (Ray) both of Benton; her son, Kurt Johnson (Tracy) of Benton; her sister, Ramona “Booger” Horn of Benton; her two brothers, Michael Landon of Haslet, TX and Terry Landon of Paducah; ten grandchildren, Courtney Stauffer (George), Kip Mathis (Blair), Grant Mathis (Emily), Karson Hendrickson (Josh), Klein Johnson, Alec Jones, Walker Jones, Zach Lathram (Abbey), Eli Lathram (Chelsey), and Ally Russell (Aaron); and ten great grandchildren, Clay Stauffer, Lennox Stauffer, Myles Mathis, Merritt Mathis, Macon Mathis, Lovett Mathis, Landry Mathis, Lucas Lathram, Leo Russell, C.J. Russell.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Landon; and her parents, Edward “Scant” Landon and Francis Maudene Henry. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Mark Ray officiating.
