Ronald Miller

Ronald Miller, 71, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, surrounded by beloved family members.

Ronald was born on July 24, 1955, in Alton, Illinois, to the late Marie Dunbar. He was raised in Lockport, Illinois, where he met the love of his life, Susan Cheviron Miller. They were married for 52 years and shared three children. Ronald retired in 2019 from the Steel Industry after over 40 years as a general supervisor. He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. You could either find him enjoying his time golfing, on the lake, or playing the guitar as his daughters and grandchildren danced around. He also made sure to never miss an Ohio State Buckeyes game.

Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was the definition of a strong patriarch role model for all of his children and grandchildren and will be missed beyond measure.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan Miller; his three children; Joshua Miller of Gilbertsville, Shalynne Hopper (James) of New Bloomington, Ohio and Lynnell Draper (Zachariah) of Waldo, Ohio; eight grandchildren; Tyler, Gabrielle (Robert), Ian, Shaylee, Austin, Alexavier, Westen, and Cheyenne; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Austin Hopper.

Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is handling the arrangements.
