Rachel Jones Walton, 96, of Calvert City, Kentucky, died at home with family on November 20, 2024.
Rachel was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle in Sharpe. She worked at Calvert City Convalescent Center for many years and she sat with elderly people in their last years.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby (Lorraine) Walton, of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Terry Walton of Calvert City, Kentucky; two daughters, Shirley Baggett of Paducah, Kentucky and Glenda Lassiter of Calvert City, Kentucky; one sister, Pearl Wallace; two brothers, Jasper Jones and Jerry Jones; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Odis Walton; her son, Tommy Walton; her parents, James A. Jones and Melida Meridith Jones; five sisters, Bethany Baker, Emaline Baker, Lucie Hollowell, Rebecca May, Millie Rhodes; one brother Johnny Jones, and son-in-law, David Lassiter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is in charge of arrangements.
