Paul A. Hafer

Paul A. Hafer, 70, of Gilbertsville, formerly of Calvert City, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
 Paul was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1951 to the late Allen Herbert Hafer and Margaret Welker Hafer.  He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps
 
 Paul was a fan of bourbon, Jack Daniels and UK basketball but most of all, he was a huge Tennessee Titans fan.  You could find him tailgating at the games where he loved to grill and barbecue.  Whether it was water skiing on the lake or combing the beaches for shells, he loved being on the water and coaching swimming. His love for said hobbies was evident, as he was a member of both, Kentucky Lake Ski Nuts and the Paducah Bourbon Society.
 He is survived by his daughter, Jamie MaShea Hafer of Nashville, TN; his son, Toby Allen Hafer of Nashville, TN; one sister, Deborah Hiestand and husband, John of Maple Grove, MN; several nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren.
 
 He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Leta Gail Willie Hafer; daughter, Erin Gail Hafer and his parents.
 
 A graveside service for Paul will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
 
 Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
