Mary E. Brown, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mary was born to the late Joseph Tobolik and Janet Morrison Tobolik on September 23, 1936, in Valier, Illinois. Mary dedicated many years to nurturing young minds and hearts as a Sunday School Teacher at Reidland Baptist Church. Her passion for guiding the youth also extended to her role as a Cub Scout Den Leader. She was an avid golfer and an active member of a bowling league in her younger years. Mary loved the outdoors and it was palpable, especially in her skill with archery where she utilized said skill while bowhunting deer.
Mary is survived by, one son, Clay Brown (Kathy) of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters, Janet Ashbaugh of Symsonia, Kentucky, and Wilma Weinriech (Art) of Arizona; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Zeke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Brown; one brother, Joe Tobolik; and her parents, Joseph Tobolik and Janet Morrison Tobolik.
