Loyd Edward Buhler, 77, passed away peacefully at his favorite place on the lake, his camper, on November 18, 2024. Born on May 19, 1947, in Neelyville, Missouri, Loyd was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a respected self-employed flooring installer.
Loyd lived a life marked by his passionate interest in the great outdoors, frequently found camping, fishing, and deer hunting. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he shared with them his love for animals and the simple joys of nature. An avid guitar lover, Loyd could often be found listening to his favorite tunes. He loved watching old Western movies and while loving on his dogs.
A man of Christian faith, Loyd was known for his openness, honesty, and the large-hearted kindness he extended to all. As a staunch patriot, he wore his service to the country as a badge of honor. Loyd will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and the legacy of integrity he leaves behind.
Loyd is survived by three daughters, Melody Erwin (William) of Kirksey, Krista Romaine of Paducah and Michelle Gloria Buhler of Paducah; his two sons, Michael Buhler of Murray and Ed Buhler (Daina) of New Concord; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Buhler and Nova McCain, and one sister, Darlene Gimple.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann.
