Kathern Burse, 78, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at her home.
Kathern was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, on March 23, 1946, to the late J.C. Dean and Dovie Newman Dean. Known for being one of the sweetest and most lovable people you could meet, she was the epitome of a loving wife and mother. She always made sure to put others before herself. She loved fishing and being outdoors, but more than anything else, she loved being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Wayne Burse of Benton, Kentucky; two daughters, Tammy Jaworski of Joliet, Illinois, and Tracy Renee Fairchild (Tommy) of Romeoville, Illinois; one sister, Anita Kay Dean of Dyersburg, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Randy Burse, Zack Burse, T Jay Simon, Jacob Burse, and Tawny Simon; and six great-grandchildren, Dominic, Tino, Eliana, Gabby, Victor, and Juliene.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Burse; one sister, Joanne Stoneburner; one brother, Larry Dean; and her parents, J.C. Dean and Dovie Newman Dean.
