Jesse Lee Winkler, 34, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
Jesse was born on November 20, 1990, in Oakland City, Indiana. After high school, Jesse joined the military and served in the Army Reserves. He was a hardworking man who worked as a construction worker, most recently with Murtco, and was a member of the Laborers Local #1214. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed going to local car shows and riding his motorcycle. He was also a man of faith and attended Truth and Light Church of Calvert City. Jesse always liked to help others and always put others' needs before his own. He was a terrific father, husband, and son who will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Abel Winkler; his two sons, Isaac Winkler and Gabriel Winkler; one daughter, Scarlett Winkler; his father, Mark Winkler (Jill) of Benton, his step-brother, David Stokes of Paducah; his aunts and uncles, Chris and Katie McKendree of Benton, Jimmy Wayne Gamble of Benton, Faren Robert Winkler of Jasper, Indiana, Lori Winkler of Paducah, and Vicki and Tom Osbourne of Naples, Florida; his children’s mother, Emily Hopkins; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis Faye Gamble Skabo; his grandparents, Cecil “Bud” Eldrid Winkler and Mary Francis Winkler, and Roy Lee Gamble and Mable Irene Gamble; one aunt, Iris Marie Winkler; and his uncle, Michael Joseph Winkler.
Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is handling the arrangements.
There will be a private family graveside service held at a later date.
