Everett "Gene" Gray, age 58, of Water Valley, Kentucky, passed away on July 12, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born on September 2, 1965, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, to his mother, Brenda Sowell and late father, Truman Gray. Gene spent his life dedicating himself to his family and his craft as a master electrician. He was a man who believed in seeing things through to the end, and he instilled the same values in his two sons. Gene enjoyed the outdoors and was passionate about fishing and camping. He was a beloved uncle to all of the many nieces and nephews that loved him so much. His playful spirit and propensity for spoiling his boys will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Gene is survived by two sons, Everett Blade Gray of Fairdealing, Everett Ely (Jayden Cornejo) Gray of Rose Hill, KS; parents, Brenda and Jim Sowell of Evansville; grandson, Camden Gray; sister, Nikki (Jody Iturrian) Sowell of Evansville; and brother, James (Jennifer) Sowell of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Gray.
A private memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
