Donald L. Rudolph, aged 103, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benton, Kentucky.
He was born on June 18, 1921, in Warm Springs, Arkansas, to Lige and Ruth Goheen Rudolph. Donald grew up with the values of hard work and kindness that would characterize the entirety of his remarkable life.
Donald began his early years working tirelessly on a farm and learning the tools of the trade. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the Owner and Operator of Krispy Kreme Donuts, where his friendly nature made him not just a businessman but a beloved figure in the community.
His service to his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army was a source of great pride for Donald and instilled in him a sense of discipline and respect that he carried throughout his life.
Donald is survived by one grandson, Brent Rudolph of Pataskala, Ohio; and three great-grandsons, Nolan Rudolph, Breyden Rudolph, and Haldon Rudolph.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Huddleston Rudolph; two sons, Gerald "Jerry" Lewis and Gary Lewis; one granddaughter, Rhonda Rudolph; one sister, Evelyn Rudolph; and his parents, Lige Rudolph and Ruth Goheen Rudolph.
There are no services for Mr. Rudolph scheduled at this time.
