David Walter Riter

David Walter Riter, 83, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

David was born to the late William Riter and Mary Von Holzen Riter on April 8, 1941, in Strykersville, New York. He worked in manufacturing at the Mattel plant in Murray, Kentucky, for 35 years. David enjoyed traveling all over and camping with his late wife, Constance. He also liked long walks through the Land Between the Lakes. David was a man known for always being there for someone in need.

David is survived by one granddaughter, Brooke Riter; two grandsons, Jordan Riter (Roslyn) and Andrew Riter; and four great-grandchildren, Orabell, Oakley, Sadie, and Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Nourse Riter; two sons, Douglas Riter and Dave Riter; two sisters, Cecilia Riter and Patricia Domes; one brother, William Riter; and his parents, William Riter and Mary Von Holzen Riter.
