Darrell Riley of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.
Originally from Livingston County, Kentucky, he was born on October 11, 1949 to the late Glynn Riley and Louise Cox Riley.
A longtime welder, Darrell worked for years with Walker Towing. In his free time, his hobbies included fishing and carpentry. He was also known to be a “huge” St. Louis Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcats fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Nelson (Scott) of Calvert City, Kentucky and Melissa Byers (Ron) of Newburgh, Indiana; two sons Brian Riley of Reidland, Kentucky and, Joshua Riley of Paducah, Kentucky ; two sisters, Gail Hall (Lannie) of Smithland, Kentucky and Linda Riley of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother Gerald Riley (Teresa) of Jackson, Tennessee; ten Grandchildren, Emma Kate Nelson, Chaney Nelson, Zach Byers, Keely Byers, Lyndsee Riley, Kayla Springfield, Bree Riley, Gabe Riley, Lee Riley and Vickie Riley; and five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his pride and joy, his beloved Yorkie, Tanner.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father Glynn Riley, mother Louise Cox Riley, sister Yvonne Walker, brother Roger Dale Riley.
The family has chosen cremation with a private burial to follow at a later date.
