Curtis Lee Collins, 56, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Curtis was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on February 11, 1968, to Jerry Lee Collins and Wylinda Driskill Collins. After graduating high school, he attended college and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. However, Curtis knew he was meant to do more, so shortly after graduating, he pursued his nursing degree and set out on a journey to help other individuals who were in need. This led to his successful and fulfilling career in nursing where he worked as an MDS Coordinator at Calvert City Nursing and Rehab and cared for a large number of patients throughout the years. Curtis was also a “jack of all trades” and never someone who liked to sit still for very long. His strong work ethic and hunger to stay productive also led him to start and own his lawn service company called JJ’s Lawn Service.
Both at home and work, Curtis devoted his life to caring for all those around him and always put the needs of others ahead of his own. As much as he enjoyed staying busy, there was nothing he loved more than his family and the Lord. As a loving husband, father, and son he led by example and was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Leigh Collins; one daughter, Sabrina Taylor Archer (TJ) of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons, Josue Lee Collins and Jeremiah Taylor Collins; one sister, Teresa Collins of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Josiah Archer and Madeline Archer; and his mother, Wylinda Driskill Collins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Collins.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Bro. Richie Clendenen officiating.
