Carl Hearell, 91, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at Marshall County Hospital.
Carl Hearell was born on February 6th, 1932, in Crittendon County, Kentucky to the late William “Willie” and Eathel Boggus Hearell. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Army. Carl was also an long time member of the Briensburg Mason Lodge #401. Carl worked as a long haul truck driver, contracting with Ligon Trucking Company, for almost 30 years. Known as “Kingfish” on the CB radio amongst other truckers, he drove three million miles in his career without any accidents or tickets. During his free time, Carl could be found working in his multiple-acre garden, which he used to supply his vegetable stand in Fairdealing for many years. When he wasn’t gardening he enjoyed tinkering with his tractors or going hunting.
Carl is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Howell Hearell; one son, Randy Hearell (Vickey) of Symsonia, Kentucky; one daughter, Rhonda Hearell of Aurora, Kentucky; three grandsons, Russell Fish, Chris Antonites and Nathan Antonites; and one sister in-law, Patsy Hearell.
He was preceded in death by four brothers; Ollie D. Hearell, Claude Hearell, Rudell Hearell and Bill Hearell; three sisters-in-law; Blanche Hearell, Jewell Hearell, and Louise Hearell; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00PM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with burial to follow at Whites Chapel Cemetery in Crittenden County, Kentucky.
