William Lee Smith

William Smith, 73, of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his daughters home.

William was born in Louisville, KY on August 6, 1949 to the late William Fred Smith and the late Dolly Howard Smith.  He retired from General Tire and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  William was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Garland (Mark) of Calvert City, KY; two sons, Erick Smith (Krista) of Benton and Nickolas Smith (Kelli) of Calvert City; two brothers, Jimmy Smith (Jean) and Dale Smith (Dawn); and seven grandchildren, Isaac Westmoreland, Abby Garland, Beau Garland, Kelsey Westmoreland, Will Garland, Julia Smith and Alyssa Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Sherry E. Smith.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Richie Clendened officiating.  There will be no public visitation.
