Ruth Young

Ruth Young, 89 of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Born Friday, October 23, 1936 in Bowling Green, KY, she was the daughter of the late Louise (Smith) Taylor. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 69 years, William "Bill" Young of Benton, KY; son, Kenneth Young (Sharon) of Paducah, KY; sister, Joyce Cooper (Ronnie) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Nathan Young (Sarah) of Hardin, KY, Karen Young (Jason) of Benton, KY, Tessa Young (Ian) of Paducah, KY; and great grandchildren, Mason Young, Isabella Sumner, Oliver O'Rourke and Jade O'Rourke.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Young; daughters, Sheila Young and Denise Young; brother, Bobby Taylor; sister, Linda Phelps; and grandchild, Amber Sumner.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time of 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home.
