Ross Allen Johnston

Ross Allen Johnston, 76 of Benton, KY died on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Ross retired from Penwalt in Calvert City where he was a machinist. He was also a member of the Briensburg TL-Jefferson Masonic Lodge #401 and the Rizpah Shriners Temple Madisonville.

Born Friday, January 26, 1945 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Garnet Johnston and the late Cloteen (Ross) Johnston. 

He is survived by his wife of  57 years, Anita (Brien) Johnston of Benton, KY; son, Brian Johnston of Benton, KY; daughter, Jennifer Byars husband Kevin of Benton, KY; sister, Lesa Lovett husband Kerry of Benton, KY; and grandchildren, Olivia Byars, Emily Byars and Boyd Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joey Johnston.

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. Kenny Locke officiating.

Interment will follow the service in Fairdealing Cemetery, Benton, KY.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home.
