Ronald Schafer

Ronald Shafer, 79, of Hardin, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his home.

He was born on May 19, 1944 to Ronald C. Shafer and Margaret Eddie Shafer. Ronald worked as an HVAC technician for several different companies around the country. He was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church.

Ronald was a jack of all trades and one of the best people to turn to for advice. Helping others brought great joy to Ronald's life. 

He is survived by two daughters, Laurie Auerbach of Plainfield, IL and Tracy Schafer of Virginia Beach, VA; one son, Joseph Shafer of Jackson, MI; one sister, Janice Schafer of Kalamazoo, MI; one step-brother, Robert Lenski; one brother-in-law, Brian (Tammy) Pierce of Hardin;  and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Schafer and his second wife, Jerrie Schafer.

There will be no local services held at this time. 

A memorial service will be held in Concord, Michigan at a later date.

Collier Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
