Richard Blevins

Richard Blevins, 66 of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at his residence.

Born Tuesday, December 16, 1958 in Purcell, OK, he was the son of the late Doyle Blevins and the late Emma (Barker) Blevins.

Richard was a union carpenter and a proud member of the Carpenters Union Local #357 for over 43 years. Outside of his trade, he was a was a beloved soccer coach in the community for several years. One of the most meaningful chapters of his life was a mission trip to Albania. He often spoke of his time there and the lasting impression it had on him. Richard attended Journey Church in Murray.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tina (Davis) Blevins; sons, Jake Blevins wife Cheyanne of Atlanta, GA, Bryan Blevins of Benton, KY; brothers, Tom Blevins wife Amy of Benton, KY, John Blevins of Benton, KY; sister, Teresa Morris husband Joe of Cunningham, KY; and grandchildren, Adelyn Blevins, Lucy Blevins and Reese Blevins.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Paul West officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Collier Funeral Home.
