Peggy Brown

Peggy Brown, 86 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Peggy was born in Fulton County, Kentucky on February 17, 1940 to the late Henry and Pearlie Parker.  Alongside her husband, Roy, she was the co-owner of Custom Automotive in Calvert City.  Peggy spent much of her time overseeing the business and contributed to it's successful growth over many years.  More than anything, she loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and grands.  Peggy was a faithful member of Pathway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Tim Brown, wife Kim, of Benton, KY; daughter, Carol Varvel (Chad Timmons) of Calvert City, KY; sister, Betty King of Paducah; grandchildren, Brittany Knoth (Ryan), Dustin Brown (Savannah), Cary King, Austin Brown (Charlstyn), Cameron Brown, Keylee Castleberry, Owen Timmons; and seven great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Neal Brown; three brothers; father Henry Parker; and mother, Pearlie Morgan King Parker Hulin.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Donald officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvert City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
