Paul Wayne Henson

Mr. Paul Wayne Henson, 84 of Benton, KY, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Born Monday, November 8, 1937 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late Edmon Franklin Henson and the late Lala (Nimmo) Henson. He was the husband of Jean (Castleberry) Henson.

Paul retired after 42 years of service as a foreman with the Kentucky Department of Forestry. After retirement, he worked with his daughter at Marquita's Place as cashier for 16 years.  He was a 42-year member of the Briensburg-T.L. Jefferson Lodge #401.  Paul was a member of the Happy Five Quartet and was an active member of the New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Jean (Castleberry) Henson of Benton, KY; children, son, Jeff Henson, wife Gail of Benton, KY, daughter, Ginger Henson of Benton, KY; brother, Donnie Henson of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Jessica Hays, husband Jeff of Clarksville, TN, Amanda Norwood, husband Trevor of Dexter, KY, Lisa Odom, husband William "Will" of Benton, KY; great-grandchildren, Justin Hays, Ashley Hays, Sarah Hays and Gabi Norwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence Henson, Wilburn Henson and James "Jim" Henson; and three sisters, Eunice Wood, Nola Estes and Dorothy Driver.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY with Rev. Scott Penick officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Horn Cemetery, Benton, KY.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
