Morris Ray Bell, 85 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Livingston Hospital in Salem, Kentucky.
Born Sunday, October 1, 1939 in Benton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Hubert Bell and the late Irene Collier Bell. Ray was a retired chemist at B.F. Goodrich plant in Calvert City. Ray was a fan of drag racing and had a love of old cars. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and a Charter Member of the Ledbetter Breakfast Club. Most of all, he was a gentle person and was kind to everyone he met.
He is survived by his niece, Donna Owen of Murray, KY; his special friend, Diane Calhoun of Ledbetter, KY; brother-in-law, Bro. Jimmy Owen of Murray, KY; granddaughter, Emily Ray Howard and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda Lindsey Bell, his daughter, Lauri Kym Gentry, and sisters, Glenda Oliver and Anna Mae Owen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Owen officiating.
Burial to follow with Military Rites at Oak Level Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
