Merrel Henson

Merrel Eugene Henson, 84, of Benton, passed away on March 31, 2025 at Clinton Place in Clinton, Kentucky.

Merrel was born in Marshall County on November 3, 1940 to Orion and Rena Henson. He was a retired laborer from B.F. Goodrich. Merrel was a passionate outdoorsman who appreciated wildlife and nature. He enjoyed any time he was able to spend hunting or building things.

Merrel is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sharon Ross Henson; his daughter, Deidra Price (Buddy) of Fairdealing; one grandson, Clint Evan Price (Hailey) of Gilbertsville; and one great grandchild, Harlan Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orin Henson and Rena Rudolph Henson; his brother, Glynn Henson; and his sister, Mary Katherine Darnell.

A graveside service for all family and friends will be held at a later date, an updated obituary will be posted once details are available.
