Leeman Rehkop

Leeman Rehkop, 73, of Gilbertsville passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Marshall County Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.

Leeman was born in Fredericktown, Missouri on August 9, 1951 to the late Floyd Rehkop and Hattie Smith Rehkop.  He proudly served our country in the United States Army.  Leeman worked as a logger and enjoyed farming in his free time.  He raised cattle and hay and also enjoyed riding horses.  More than anything, he loved and adored his grandchildren.    

He is survived by his daughter, Misty Ramsey of Gilbertsville, KY; one brother, Jim Rehkop of Perryville, MO; one sister, Betty Marler of Parkhills, MO; and three grandchildren, Zoey Ramsey, Phoebe Ramsey, and Ella Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Autry Rehkop; five brothers, Walter Rehkop, George "Art" Rehkop, Robert Rehkop, Floyd Rehkop, Jr., Raymond Rehkop; five sisters, Dorothy Brewington, Mary Louise Sensel, Donna Bellew, Ruby M. Martin, Clara Belle Skaggs; and his parents.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Moreland Cemetery, Gilbertsville, KY.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, Kentucky.
