Laura Alice Howard

Laura Alice Howard, age 93 of Benton, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Passion and Purpose Home Care in Almo, Kentucky.

She was born August 24, 1928. She was one of 8 children born to Finis and Nonnie (Myers)Pierce.

Laura was a homemaker, and a member and Sunday School teacher at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Ham and husband, Larry, granddaughters Lorrie Shadowen and husband Jarrod of Benton and Carissa Martin and husband Ian of Nashville, TN, one sister Ruth Copeland of Benton and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruby Nell and Emma Lou Pierce, Elizabeth Smith, Margaret Lyden, Betty Lyles, one brother Frank Pierce, and a son Sammy Howard.

Visitation Services will be held between the hours of 11:30AM and 1:00PM at the Collier Funeral Home on Friday, December 24, 2021. Graveside service will immediately follow at 1:30PM  at Marshall County Memory Gardens. Bro. Mark Thweatt will officiate.
