Larry Sirls

Larry Jackson Sirls, 71 of Benton, KY died on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his residence.

He was the construction superintendent for KY State Parks. He enjoyed telling stories, trains and restoring old cars and tractors. 

Born Wednesday, August 2, 1950 in Murphysboro, IL, he was the son of the late James Edward Sirls and the late Doris Jean (Jackson) Sirls. He was the husband of the late Janette (Jones) Sirls.

He is survived by his sons, Jesse Sirls wife Dawn of Hardin, KY, Jack Sirls of Murray, KY; daughters, Janie Pogue husband Keith of Benton, KY, Ginger Russell husband Jeff of Hardin, KY; aunt, Louise Sirls of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Elyse Taylor, Tyler Sirls wife Taylor, Trent Sirls, Emily Taylor husband Eric, Elisha Taylor husband Justin, Brody Pogue, Ashley Willett husband Chris, Aaron Russell wife Ally, Austin Russell; and great grandchildren, Serenity Sirls, Kane Sirls, Meah Nesler, Jaya Nesler, Lenox Nesler, Jude Taylor, Lilly Taylor, Konlee Russell, Coy Willett, Leo Russell, and CJ Russell.

A memorial service will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Jeff Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home.
