Kevin Lynn Holt, 60, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Kevin was born in Paducah, KY on April 14, 1962 to the late Jakie D. Holt and Joyce Ellis Holt. He spent most of his youth on his father's farm in the Tatumsville area. He graduated from Marshall County High School in 1981 where he played Football and Baseball. After graduating from High School, he entered the work force as a Carpenter in Local Union 357. For most of his career, he worked for CESA Contractors and eventually retired while working for Morsey Construction. He was a Foreman and Superintendent for both companies working at most the area plants across West Kentucky.
He was an avid hunter having traveled to numerous states and several countries in Africa. Kevin had a passion for sports and coached in the little league programs adding basic skills and knowledge to young athletes. He started the first Elk Farm in West Kentucky with his father in the 1980's. He helped his father raise Angus, Charolais, and Saler Cattle through the years. Kevin lived his whole life in Marshall County and with this wife, Kim, they raised their three sons in the county he loved. He was of the Baptist faith growing up but also attended Briensburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kimberly Mack Holt of Benton; three sons, Paul Anthony Holt of Denver, CO, Kristopher Adam Holt of Benton, TN and Scott Andrew Holt (Susan Riley) of Benton; brother, Danny Holt (Lee Ann) of Gilbertsville and one grandson, Nate Riley.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Nelson and his parents.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. John Dale and Bro. Danny Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
