Johnny P. Gipson

Johnny P. Gipson, 77 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

John Paul Gipson was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 24, 1947 to the late Paul Gipson and Margaret White Gipson. 

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Belinda Gipson; five children, daughters, Kim Lansford (Bill) of Benton, Aabby Risley (Kyle) of Almo, Beth Mathis (Jason) of Symsonia, sons, Johnny M. Gipson of Benton and Seth Coble (Misty) of Calvet City; grandchildren, Chasity Miller (Kevin), Braden Coble, Lilly Coble, Justin Mathis (Courtney), Bailey Brooks (LaGlora), Kelsy Hawk (Tyler), and Chase Matteson; children from previous marriage, Joey Skees (Angie) of Benton and Katie Downing (Chris) of Benton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lonnie Gipson; sister, Judy Shikles; and grandson, Rodney Spears.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 with Bro Nathan Pirtle officiating.  Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
