Johnny D. Copeland

Johnny D. Copeland, 74 of Symsonia, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Thursday, November 30, 1950, he was the son of the late Joe Copeland and the late Naomi Joyce Copeland.  He retired from Uranium Disposition Services (UDS) in the maintenance department in Paducah, KY. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Paducah. Johnny was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.

Surviving are daughters; Sabrina RunningThunder (Ghost) of Symsonia, Dawn Schwartz (John) of Murray, KY and Jodie Hooper (Phil) of Benton, KY; brother, Donnie Copeland (Theresa) of Paducah, KY; sister, Tammy Lamb of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, MaKayla Spalding, Madison Perry, Trini RunningThunder, Nicholas Hooper and Madi Hooper and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 38syears, Donna Faye Knight Copeland, his son, Christopher Copeland and his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ty Phiffs officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
