John Richard Gay, 57 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at UK Healthcare in Lexington, KY.

Born Wednesday, September 29, 1965 in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late John Gay and Mildred (Grillo) Gay. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (McLeod) Gay of Benton, KY; mother, Mildred (Grillo) Gay of Louisville, KY; sons, Jordan Gay of Calvert City, KY, Cameron Gay of Benton, KY; daughter, Tori Jackson husband Austin of Gilbertsville, KY; sisters, Kathy Webb husband Dennis of Lexington, KY, Carolyn Hottinger husband Gary of Louisville, KY, Cindy Cavitt of Paducah, KY, Diana Duncan of Benton, KY; grandchild, Austin Creed Jackson; brothers in law, Tony McLeod wife Trish of Benton, KY, Richard McLeod wife Andrea of Benton, KY; and sisters in law, Carolyn Short husband Chad of Benton, KY, Latasha James of Murray, KY, and Angela Allen husband Gary of Benton, KY.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Garrett Hunt and Gene Oller officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Collier Funeral Home.
