John Allen Rohde

John Allen Rohde, 92 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, Kentucky.

John was born in Houston, Texas on May 24, 1933, he was the son of the late John August Rohde and Beatrice Hill Rohde.  He proudly served our country in the United State Army as a paratrooper from 1953 to 1956 in the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.  John worked in management for Cooper Cameron Valves before retiring.  He was also a member of the Symsonia Masonic Lodge and enjoyed deer hunting.  John was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Irvan Rohde; son, John Allen Rohde, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Julie Severance of Savannah, GA; one grandchild, Peyton Baxter; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Rohde and his parents.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm until 4:00 on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home.  Military rights will be held at 4:00 pm.

Entombment will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble, TX at a later date.
