Joe Butler

Joe Butler, 66, of Murray, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

Joe was born in Benton on February 8, 1958 to the late Bobby Butler and Wanda Ross Butler.  He worked at Briggs & Stratton.  Joe enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his grandkids and dogs.  He was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Free Butler; one son, Mitchell Butler (Lori) of Trenton, TN; one daughter, Alizabeth Barron (Timothy) of Benton, KY; one sister, Rita McKnight (Gary) of Aurora, KY; and four grandchildren, Makayla Butler, Joseph Townsend, Isaiah Barron and Joshua Barron.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. John Sales officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Kirksey, KY.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
