Jimmy Wynn

Jimmy Wynn, age 78, of Benton, KY, died Friday, May 22, 2026, at Southgate Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis, IL. Mr. Wynn was former owner and operator of Wynn Building Materials. He enjoyed fishing and racing. 

He was the son of the late James Denton Wynn and the late Betty Sue (Hutson) Wynn.

He is survived by his wife: Sharon (Parker) Wynn of Benton, KY; one son: Brandon Wynn of Gilbertsville, KY; two step sons: Josh Barnes and Joel Barnes of Benton, KY; one step daughter: Jennifer Morton of Benton, KY; two brothers: Larry Wynn of Paducah, KY and Teddy Wynn of Benton, KY; one sister: Brenda Campbell of Montgomery, AL; and five grandchildren: Anistyn Barnes, Korlee Barnes, Ryan Barnes, Cayden Weathers, and Rowann Morton. 

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2026.  Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2026. Interment will be at New Zion Cemetery, Benton, KY.
