Jimmy K. "Smoothy" Smith

Mr. Jimmy K. "Smoothy" Smith, age 76 of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at his home. 

Jimmy was born on June 9, 1948 in Murray, KY. He was a retired Union Carpenter out of Local #357 and was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lee and Francis Charlene (Henderson) Smith and his brother, Joe Smith.

Surviving are his aunt, Norma Locke of Benton, KY; sister-in-law, Joan Smith of South Fulton, TN; and several cousins.

Graveside service with military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Union Ridge Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Burial will follow the service.
