Jesse Nelson

Jesse Lane Nelson, age 36, of Benton, passed away suddenly from a pulmonary embolism on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He was born in Paducah on May 31, 1988 to Ronnie and Mary Ellen Nelson. Jesse was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and attending renaissance festivals. Jesse lived his life to the fullest and was always helping others or making people laugh. He loved his family and friends dearly and would do anything for them.

Jesse is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Mary Ellen (Harrington) Nelson, of Benton; one daughter, Mackenzie Elkins of Owensboro; one sister, Kristen Carper (Chase) of Paducah; and two nieces, Kit and Quinn Carper.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Cole Cemetery. 

The visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
