Jennifer York

Jennifer York, 74 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at her residence.

Jennifer was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky on June 1, 1949 to the late Saunders Walton and Etta Meadows Walton.  She enjoyed spending time sewing, quilting and reading.  More than anything, she loved and adored her grandkids and greats.  Jennifer was a member of Olive Community Church.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bobby York; two daughters, Rhonda Brooks, husband Rudy and Mechelle Gattis, husband Jack; four grandchildren, Zach Brooks (Brittany), Madison Singery (Charles), Hayden Anderson and Kennedy Gattis; three great-grandchildren, Florence Singery, Frannie Singery and Graham Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Joe York; two brothers, Jimmy Walton and Bud Walton; four sisters, Faye Pritchard, Kay Thomas, Joy Leski and Jane Canup; and her parents.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Miller officiating.  Interment will follow at Horn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
