Janet L. Seaford

Janet L. Seaford, 78 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her home.

Janet was born in Paducah, Kentucky on February 14, 1945 to the late Lophus Hiett and Louise Kinney Hiett. She taught third grade at Benton Elementary for twelve years. Janet enjoyed gardening and was a member of Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tom Seaford; one brother, Kinney Hiett (Kay) of Ohio; one sister, Diane Smith (Richard) of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren, Britney Phillips, Tyler Lang, Justin Seaford, Austin Seaford, Andrew Seaford, Aaron Sutter; three great-grandchildren, Karley Cashon, Jasmine and Jessica Seaford.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jay Seaford and Tony Seaford; her daughter, Rhonda Seaford; and her parents.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Dr. Stephen Seaford officiating. Interment will follow at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
