James "Jimmy" William Seaford

James "Jimmy" William Seaford, 84 of Marshall County, was welcomed into Heaven on the morning of Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his home.

He was born on July 1, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Euckley Seaford and the late Pansy Hamlet Seaford.

Jimmy surrendered to preach at the age of 12 years old at New Harmony Baptist Church in Benton. He was called to pastor his first church, Cayce Baptist Church in Cayce, KY, at the age of 19 years old. He went on to pastor many churches in TN. He then returned home to Benton, KY and the Lord called him to start Elva Baptist Church in the Elva community in1985.

His hobbies were running beagle dogs, fishing and small engine repair.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Evelyn Smith Seaford; sons, Gregory Allen Bullock (Kim) of Murfreesboro, TN, Glen William Seaford (late Lori Seaford) of Chrisney, IN, Micheal Scott Seaford of Troy, IN; daughter, Theresa Diane Bullock of Benton, KY; Brother, Danny Seaford (Kathy) of Benton, KY; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Stephen "Stevie" Seaford.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 2 PM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Taylor and Bro. Johnny Coffenberry officiating.

Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton, KY.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 5 PM to 8:30 PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
