George Newton

Mr. George Newton, age 72 of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at his home.  He was a retired operator for Precision Steel and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Born Saturday, January 19, 1952 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late Paul Newton and the late Waudine (Freeman) Newton. 

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Diane (Stevenson) Newton of Benton, KY, son, Kyle Newton of Benton, KY, nephew, Paul Newton (Laura), great nephew, Stephen Newton, great niece, Allyson Newton Clark (John), great great niece and nephew, Little Johnny Clark. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Sherman Newton, sister Hazal Newton, and nephew, Mike Newton.

A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Charles LaChance and Bro. Jeremy Short officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024.
