Earl D. Bonnell

Mr. Earl D Bonnell, 87, Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born July 14th, 1935 in Golconda, Illinois, to the late Albert and Ethel (Davis) Bonnell,  Mr. Bonnell was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired from ISP Chemical Corporation in Calvert City and was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1720.   He was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Let's Roll Camping Club.

Mr. Bonnell is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bonnell; two sons, Jeff Bonnell, wife Debbie and Mike Bonnell, both of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; one stepson, Jeff Reed, wife Tanya; one step-daughter, Melissa Reed; three granddaughters, Andrea Beavers, Emily Flowers, and Elizabeth Scott; five step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, Bekah Phillps, Kelsey Bonnell, Jenna Bonnell, Izzy Bonnell, Jake Beavers, Stephanie Tenorio, Gavin Scott, Lincoln Flowers, Gavin Scott, Lincoln Flowers, London Flowers, and Lucy Flowers; and three step great-grandchildren.    

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bonnell was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Bonnell;  four brothers, Leo Bonnell, Leroy Bonnell, Glen Bonnell, and James Bonnell; two sisters, Juanita Jones and Alene Holland; and one grandson Thomas Bonnell.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, Kentucky, with the Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at the funeral home.
