Dorothy Louise Cunningham Gipson, 88, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
She was born in Oak Level, Kentucky on January 27, 1936 to Wallace Cunningham and Lola Mae Reid Cunningham. Dorothy worked as a security guard for Ingersol Rand in Mayfield. She was a fierce believer in Christ and of the Jehovah's Witness faith.
She is survived by four sons, John Gipson, Jr. (Debbie) of Paducah, Jerry Gipson of Mayfield, Steve Gipson (Denise) of Mayfield, and Jeff Gipson, Sr. of Symsonia; two brothers, Jerry Merle Cunningham, Sr. of Decatur, Il and John Suttles of Paducah; one sister, Peggy Butler of Elkton; as well as eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Gipson, Sr.; her parents, Wallace Cunningham and Lola Cunningham Bottoms; her daughter, Beverly Suzanne Gipson Moseley; and two brothers, Earl Cunningham and David Cunningham.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Hays officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Level Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home.
